Monitor: With apple’s iMac it has a built in 17inch monitor which would be ideal for people who are looking save some space. With the Dell however they offer a 19-inch monitor. So in this category it depends what you are looking for.

Summary: Both of these Desktop PC’s are actually quite a close comparison. Also not mentioned so far is that both of the models use a Intel GMA 950 graphics card. So in buying these laptops it would depend what you are looking for. With the iMac, the software and general feel of the operating system is meant more for audio and video editing or viewing. So Apple’s model is meant more for a home desktop, while Dell’s is more of a business or home business desktop. But in the end 50 dollars is not very much in the long run and I would say that the advantage goes to Apple’s iMac.
